For months we had heard tales of “Warmiwañusca” or “Dead Woman’s Pass” high in the Andes, and for days as we hiked slowly up our guide would point out the “Dead Woman” lying in repose.
Here we are almost to the 14,000′ pass, slowly inching my way up. A couple steps, rest, then a couple more.
Our guide offered to carry my backpack with all my painting gear, but being Mr Macho I wouldn’t let him do it. So on we went.
I think I’m about done with this, maybe a tweak here or there. I know, playing around with a small brush, but was loving the various textures of the vegetation and mountains.
