20 x 24 oil $1250

20×24 oil

This piece was begun the same weekend I came across the old Beetison Mansion, but this is the Linoma Beach lighthouse and campground along the Platte River near Ashland Nebraska. This place was once the hot spot for summer fun and sun, but on this day it was barren. Could it have been from the dark cloudy day that I was there, or was there something just a little bit deeper? Some of the vendor stands, and locker rooms had this lonely feel to them. I was drawn by those odd colors of the spool tables, and hand built walls, with the old lighthouse in the background.
