Number 3 in my Plein air series, a scene from Jacob L Loose Park, Kansas City, MO. This was to be our 1st session with Anne Garney and the Plein Air painting group, but we were washed out on our 1st session by torrential rains. Here I thought the composition of the painting was very strong, and was pleased with it from the very beginning. It did go from being my favorite to least favorite, then back again as I struggled with the trees, and trying to keep them from being lost in the background. More than once while painting here I was approached by people asking for “loose change”… to think they are asking an artist for money… curious.
