I tell you I love to paint, but more specifically I love to grab my gear and get outside and try my luck at capturing the great outdoors. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as I’m painting I’m good. ...

So you are headed to Melbourne. I saw your post on the Aussie Plein Air post. I’d suggest since you will be in the city for tennis, that you look around Flinders Station, Princess Bridge area. Plenty to paint right there on the Yarra River. The Royal Botanic Gardens is right there too and all just a short distance from Rod Laver. I really enjoy the Open.
I see you ALSO participated in “Where in the World is Plein Air”… maybe we can meet to sketch. Stay in touch and safe travels.

Thanks for that Mike, sounds like I won’t be short on subjects to paint in the Melbourne area, and hope to be able to get some painting in. It’s primarily a vacation to see the Australian Open with my wife, but she thought I could take a day to paint in the area. Just at the mercy of public transportation and no gear. Would love to hook up with you if possible. I’ll give you a shout. Thanks again.
