Join Greg Summers and Ed Bouwmeester for an intensive, fast-moving and fun workshop focusing on the common elements and painting techniques utilized by two different artists to create energetic, successful paintings. Both artists emphasize a common devotion to the fundamental principles of painting/drawing, values, edges and composition. Emphasis will be on perspective, both linear and atmospheric perspective, and use of a limited pallet.
What to expect:
- Demonstration paintings
- Concept discussions
- Personal and Group painting critiques
- Encouragement and support
- Direction for further improvement
Learn how painting with less can give you more. The limited pallet does not only give you a better range, but for painting outdoors it’s hard to find a better working color scheme. A limited pallet is lighter, faster, cheaper, and helps to create a better color harmony.
We will be painting different subjects each day, on location. (Weather permitting)
This workshop is appropriate for all levels with a basic understanding of the materials.
