The Grand Canyon of Texas, Palo Duro Canyon State Park

This 3 day workshop takes place in one of the little known gems of West. First discovered by the Spanish explorers named for the hardwood junipers and mesquite trees native to the area.

We will be working each day in a different location in or on the canyon with the primary focus of creating “depth” in your artwork. I work with a limited palette of 4 colors which I find perfect for outdoor painting and will be teaching from this color scheme. I recommend trying it, but bring your favorite tubes of color if you like.

This 3 day outdoor painting workshop is for all level artists, but must have primary knowledge of painting, and painting outdoors.

This is a painting workshop, not a hiking trip, so we will not be working far from easy parking, but it the West so appropriate outdoor gear should be worn. A supply list will be sent with recommendations after registration, along with lodging suggestions.

The canyon is only 30 minutes from Amarillo Texas, but workshop space and housing in the area is limited so book early to ensure your slot.

Cost is $325 Deposit $50 (non-refundable)

This is for the workshop fee only, State Park fee, lodging, meals seperate.
